Murcia basks in nearly 2800 hours of sunshine a year (320 days) – the most in Spain and almost double that of the UK’s. With temperatures averaging 19oC in Winter, and 32oC in the Summer, the coast can be enjoyed from the Easter holidays and well into the autumn. 
Rain is scarce throughout the region (approx. 300-350mm/year – that’s less than half the UK’s and falls mainly in April and October). Water temperatures along the Costa Calida range from 13.5 oC (56oF) in the winter to 24.4 oC (76 oF)in the summer. The Mar Menor waters are typically several degrees Celsius warmer.
